In Loving Memory Of

Cletus K. Bray

Cletus K. Bray, of Pauls Valley, was born February 3, 1917 in Ravia, Oklahoma to Samuel E. and Josie Bell (Houchen) Bray.

He passed away August 21, 2009 at Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years.

On August 24, 1935 Cletus Bray was married to Pearl Carlisle in Mill Creek, Oklahoma. Pearl preceded him in death on December 1, 1988; they had been married over 52 years.

The Pauls Valley area has been his home most of his life. He worked as a Rancher and a Farmer. On March 20, 1993 Cletus was married to Cleo Brown Horn in Davis, Oklahoma.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Cletus Bray, Jr. and Jesse Harris.

Surviving family include his wife, Cleo Bray; two sons, Sam Bray and his wife, Ann and Charles Harris and his wife, Betty, all of Pauls Valley; six daughters, Darlene Keene and her husband, Jerry, of Lubbock, Texas; Mary Cosner and her husband, Jack, of Pensacola, Florida; Nita Trammell and her husband, Simpson, of Harrison, Arkansas; Mary Ann Turner and her husband, Frank, of Kingston; Marie Clark, of Edmond; and Ruth Harmon and her husband, Lee, of Davis; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Visitation will be Sunday, 1pm to 5 pm and Monday, 9 am to 8 pm and Tuesday, 9 am to 1:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Dean Thompson. Interment will be at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
