In Loving Memory Of

Cary R. Bowie

Cary Ray Bowie, of Pauls Valley was born August 25, 1963 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.

He passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on December 24, 2005 at Norman Regional Hospital due to a massive stroke at the age of 42 years.

Cary worked as a Contract Pumper in the Oil Field.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Carroll Bowie and grandfather, Ralph Gillespie.

On September 24, 1998 he and Lydia Gayle Gunter were married in Gainesville, Texas.

Surviving family include his wife, Gayle Gunter Bowie, of Pauls Valley; mother, Karen Sue Bowie and grandmother, Helen Gillespie, both of Pauls Valley; father, Paul Ealey, of Texas; his son, Jonathan Bowie, of Edmond, his son, Devon Bowie and daughter, Kelsey Lynn Bowie, both of Norman; and his brother, Craig J. Bowie, of Pauls Valley.

Cary's parents-in-law are: Jot and LaJuana Gunter, of Pauls Valley; his step-children, Mistie Turner & her husband, Buddy, of Pauls Valley, Jeremy Gibson and his wife, Jaime, of Mustang; his two beloved step-granddaughters, Allie Gibson and Samantha Turner of Pauls Valley.

Cary is also survived by: three sisters-in-law, LaRieta Huckabaa and her husband, Junior, of Cushing, Peggy Campbell and her husband, Ken, of Springer and Chloe Dickerson and her husband, Dave, of Liberty, Missouri.

Cary was a very loving husband, father, son and grandson as well as a loyal friend.

He loved people and had a wicked sense of humor. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and country music. He was a wonderful cook and could fix almost anything that was broken.

Christmas was one of his favorite times of the year. He was preparing for a large family gathering when he was stricken. The lives of those who loved him most will never be the same because of his passing.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 10:00 am at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Ken Campbell. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
