In Loving Memory Of

Jack Edward Boatman

Jack E. Boatman completed his earthly journey in Davis, Oklahoma and entered into his heavenly home on December 19, 2006. He was born in Wayne, Oklahoma on August 18, 1929 to Earl and Beulah Boatman. He attended Wynnewood schools and joined the Air Force.

Jack and Stella were married September 28, 1981 in Jasper, Arkansas and just celebrated their 25th Anniversary. Jack was a Methodist and a member of Myrtle Masonic Lodge #145 of Oklahoma City, Guthrie Scottish Rite of Guthrie, Teamsters Local 886 and Retired Roadrunners Club.

He loved his God, family, and country. His retirement from TransCon in 1986 gave him time for his passions of fishing and golf.

He is survived by his wife Stella; and daughters, Jacki O'Donnell of Denton, Texas. and Marilyn Karr of Moore; Stepchildren, Jimmy McIntyre of Chickasha, Melinda Johnston of Minco, Donnie Schaffer of Glenn Heights, Texas., Tony Schaffer of Austin, Texas., and Jerry Schaffer of Pampa, Texas.; his brother, Larry Boatman of Oklahoma City and 3 sisters, Earlene Gross of Moore, Mary Alice Rains of Oklahoma City and Jean Bennett of Moore as well as 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 22, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery officiated by Rev. Larry Boatman. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

The family wished to express their love and appreciation to the Davis Police Dept., Arbuckle Memorial Hospital of Sulphur, Dr. Joe Riddle and Dr. Michael Sellers of Norman, Dr. Joe Hamill and all the caregivers at Cross Timbers Hospice of Ardmore, Ok. It has been a long good-bye. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
