Donald Brooks Aker, of Pauls Valley, was born June 9, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts to Brooks and Dorothy Price Aker.

He passed away at his home April 19, 2005 near Pauls Valley at the age of 68 years.

Donald served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was raised in Boston but had lived most of his life in California. He retired as a Route Carrier from the U. S. Postal Service after 33 years.

Mr. Aker was married to Georgetta Bebout in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 6, 1997. Pauls Valley has been his home for the past 4 years.

Among his activities he enjoyed most was sailing and the Mountain Man Rendezvous with his friends.

Surviving family include his wife, Georgetta Aker of Pauls Valley; 8 children, Stevan Aker, Michael Aker, Donna Bentley Aker, Roy Cox, Robin Cox, Todd Terry, Aaron Terry and April Terry; 9 grandchildren, Timmy Cox, Tara Cox, Megan Cox, Lacey Cox, Cheyenne Wiley, Savannah Wiley, Gerald Terry, Ally Terry and Tanner Snelgroes and his Maltese named Dudley.
